
Felix H. Breiteneicher grew up in Landshut, Lower Bavaria (Germany), and is currently based in St. Gallen (Switzerland). Felix’ main research interests concern geostrategic analysis and foreign policy forecasting in Eurasia and the Indo-Pacific region.
Felix H. Breiteneicher holds a Master’s degree (Ing.) with honours in ‘International and Diplomatic Studies’ from Prague University of Economics and Business (study exchange at Moscow State Institute of International Relations), as well as a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in ‘Politics & Society’ (minor in International Law) from the University of Bonn (study exchange at Riga Stradins University). Felix graduated with theses about Russia, China and India in Arctic geopolitics as well as Chinese diplomacy in the Balkans and Baltics. Currently, Felix is pursuing doctoral studies in ‘International Affairs and Political Economy’ at the University of St. Gallen.
Felix H. Breiteneicher has worked as Associate Consultant and Public Affairs Executive for the strategic political consulting group ‘Erste Lesung’ with offices in Berlin, Brussels and Paris, supporting various German, multinational and international clients with German and European policy developments – especially in the areas of artificial intelligence, cyber security, digital identities/finance, e-health, and civil protection. Felix has also professionally assisted the Czech Institute of International Relations in Prague as well as the Regional Representation of the European Commission for North Rhine-Westphalia/Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland in Bonn. Felix gained further practical expertise while heading student council policy departments at the universities of Bonn and Cologne as well as through multiple years of political volunteering in various thematic areas on the municipal and regional level.
